Cool Hand Luke

(1967)

Todd Says:

4 STARS

This is one of those movies that will make you wonder what happened to Hollywood, and leave you wondering why nobody makes good movies anymore. Paul Newman shines as a man without direction, trying to survive in a world with too many rules.

It has aged pretty well, though some younger viewers may have a hard time relating to most of the characters, the scenes and situations do a good job at transcending the decades. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has never seen it. And if it's been years since you've seen it, it's worth revisiting.
